SWORD BOARDS AND CASES - FAQ
Why aren't prices included with the photos?
Wow... there are just too many options between wood selections, ropework, coins, insignia, engraved brass plates, etc. Any of these would have an impact on the pricing.
Which woods are available for the cases?
The standard wood used in our cases is oak. Any other wood selection depends on availability and will be special ordered for your case. These wood choices include cherry, walnut, maple, and many exotics such as purple heart, canary wood, mahogany, and others. Ask for a specific wood (curly maple?) and I will see what I can do.
This gift is for a USMC officer. Can I substitute the red for the navy blue?
I may not have the red or other custom color on hand but it could be purchased and installed in your custom case.
What is the lead time if I order the custom case today?
Lead times may vary depending on the options ordered but generally, these cases can be ready to ship in 2-3 weeks after the order is placed. Delays if any are generally the result of locating optional wood selections. These aren't locally available and must be shipped to me.
Can I have my purchase shipped to an APO or FPO address?
In all likelihood yes, but... package dimensions must be less than 130" combined length and girth. Certain custom case lengths could prevent a shipment to an APO or FPO address.
There is a specific wood I would like to use for my case but it isn't listed. Is it possible to special order another type of wood?
In most cases, yes. Please call to discuss your wood selection and I will look into the availability.
